“On April 6th, our son McCoy Casey Bosworth was born at 3:10am. Weighing in at 11 pounds and 4 ounces and spanning 21 inches, McCoy surprised us all with his size and strength (and overall perfection). During the course of his birth, he experienced shoulder dystocia and a compressed umbilical cord. He joined our Heavenly Father and will live forever in the hearts of his loving parents, his adoring sister, and those that received his life-saving gifts. I wrote this for the organ/tissue procurement team to read out in his honor: “Tonight, we join together to honor this little savior’s gifts of life. Through him, may others find new hope and profound healing… and may he live again through them. May his legacy shine in the form of lifetimes aplenty – lives filled with laughter, compassion, energy, love, and most of all gratitude. May it be said that McCoy Casey Bosworth left this world in a better place, for a better place…. that he made an impact… that he was an answered prayer… that he was a hero. May angels lead him in. Thank you, McCoy.”

A woman giving birth to a child has pain because her time has come; but when her baby is born she forgets the anguish because of her joy that a child is born into the world. So with you: Now is your time of grief, but I will see you again and you will rejoice, and no one will take away your joy.” John 16:20 Until we see you again… We love you, McCoy.

#NeutrogenaPartner It’s been endearing, and a little scary, to see my daughter modeling her behavior after mine. It’s a trip to see her pack a bag “To go on the ‘cation” – as I do for our family. I watch in amusement as she packs undies, vitamins, her favorite shoes, and I laugh when I see she remembers to include her dolls’ Pack n Play, just as I did for her when she was tiny. It’s become clear that it’s my job to teach my girl important things by first modeling those things myself. So I’ve been more conscious of trying to make sure she sees me taking care of myself, instead of just others. While I love that she nurtures her dogs and her baby dolls, seeing her nurture HERSELF is the real goal. That’s why, as a part of her curriculum of life lessons, I choose to teach my daughter about self-care. It’s on me to help her learn how to show herself love. I want my daughter to know it’s okay, and important, to take care of yourself, too. My hope is that she won’t wait as long as I did to make herself, her goals, her body, her mental health, her skin, her life a priority. With a little help from @Neutrogena and their new Bright Boost Gel Cream, I’m hoping to resurface my skin passed 30 years of sunshine, sweat, sketchy sleep, dehydration, and a whole slew of other skin sins. The collection is formulated with Neoglucosamine and other skin brightening ingredients to boost surface cell turnover by 10X! For half my life, I’ve been leaning on Neutrogena for my skincare – so here’s to the brand that’s helped make my #SkinSinsForgiven since befo’ ’04
