Joost Luiten is a Dutch professional golfer who plays on the European Tour. He has won six tournaments on the European Tour: Iskandar Johor Open in 2011, Lyoness Open in 2013, KLM Open in 2013, ISP Handa Wales Open in 2014, KLM Open again in 2016 and NBO Oman Open in 2018.

He has triumphed on two separate occasions at the KLM Open, making him the first Dutch player to win his national Open twice since it joined the European Tour in 1972.

Joost started golf at the age of 9 when his uncle Wim took him to the driving range of Golf Centrum Rotterdam. He won the Spanish Amateur and the German Amateur and played against golfers like Martin Kaymer and Rory McIlroy. In 2006, he won the world title with the Dutch amateur team.

Joost announced at a press conference at the end of 2006 that he was turning professional. He earned rave reviews during his rookie professional season which included two victories on the Challenge Tour in his first six events in 2007.

He notched two wins in the 2013 season en route to a career-best 11th-place finish in the Race to Dubai Rankings presented by Rolex.
