Jennifer Dorow is a circuit court judge for the Waukesha County Circuit Court in Waukesha, Wisconsin. She serves as the chief judge of the 3rd Judicial Administrative District. District Three includes Dodge, Jefferson, Ozaukee, Waukesha, and Washington counties.
On June 12, 2019, the Wisconsin Supreme Court re-appointed Chief Judge Jennifer R. Dorow, Waukesha County Circuit Court, to another term as chief judge, effective Aug. 1. Dorow was first appointed chief judge in 2017.
Dorow has served on the Waukesha County Circuit Court since being appointed in December 2011 by then-Gov. Scott Walker. She replaced Mark Gundrum on the bench, whom Walker appointed to the state Court of Appeals. Since then, she has been re-elected to her position in 2012 and 2018. Her term expires in 2024.
Prior to becoming a judge, Dorow served as an assistant district attorney in Waukesha County from March 2000 to July 2004 before going into private practice with Huppertz & Dorow, S.C. She worked as a defense lawyer since September 2004.
Born in Milwaukee, Dorow graduated from Waukesha South High School in 1988. She earned a bachelor’s degree in broadcast communication from Marquette University in 1992 and went on to earn her law degree from Regent University School of Law in Virginia Beach, Va in 1996. She has been licensed to practice law in Wisconsin since 1996. In 2000 Dorow was admitted to practice law in the U.S. District Court, Eastern District of Wisconsin and U.S. Circuit Court, Seventh Circuit.
