Everyday I consciously grow to be the spirit that God has brought me here to be. Walking in that awareness, makes everything seem like it’s a coincidence, when it not. These moments of synchronicity are a constant nudge from God, telling me that I am exactly where I am supposed to be in this moment. Last night was a massive reminder of this! To be able to honor OUR greats is an honor in itself! To hear @cynthiaerivo say she originally came to America just to do a theatre show, now look! @lenawaithe reminded us to write, act, sing, and dance unapologetically black. Then lastly, @iamjamiefoxx showed us the power of being the best at what YOU do! Thank you @jefffriday @iamnicolefriday for creating a platform for us to give our greats their flowers! Cheers to many more years of honoring the ones who pave the way 🥂 @americanblackfilmfestival : : Dress: @lovenookie #nookiegirls Make up: @koko_guerra
