Fellow Singaporeans, exactly two years ago on 26 Aug 2015, I announced my intention to stand for general election. Since the 21st century, there is no independent in a multi-corner fight except for Bukit Timah during Singapore’s general election in 2001. The independent candidate had 4.92% of the votes. Being the next independent candidate and the youngest candidate in the election, I understand that I still got a long way to go. I’m thankful to the residents in Radin Mas for allowing me to secure more than 10% of the votes. We’ve made history by allowing the first female independent candidate, the youngest candidate, the only post-90 candidate and an independent candidate to score such a result. This is the first time an independent candidate broke the single digit. As some of you have already know, we are currently working on documenting human rights violations in Singapore as well as assisting fellow Singaporeans on their submission of documents to various government agencies. If you would like to volunteer with us, please feel free to contact us or meet us. Also, we have been renting a storage space in IMM building to keep our election and protest items. Due to the increase in rental, we will be giving away all the items including but not limited to: books, posters, banners, flyers, shirts, etc. Please let my volunteers or me know if you would like to have them as souvenirs, thank you for your continuous support 😊 大家好,在两年前的今天2015年8月26日,我宣布我打算参加大选。
