How would you describe your style of cooking?
My food is centred in European cooking, specifically focusing on ‘cucina povera’ meaning ‘poor cooking’, a traditional Italian style of cooking which my father taught me. He was a chef and loves like me to focus on simple ingredients to make simple dishes that taste amazing.
What is your earliest cooking memory?
I remember cooking from around the age of 14, food was such a big part of the family and I was always involved in the cooking and eating of it.
Why did you enter MasterChef?
My partner is a big fan of the show and my cooking was the one who really encouraged me apply but I always secretly fancied a go so it was a good excuse.
What is your food dream?
I’d love to serve the food I grew up eating, fresh pasta and Italian inspired dishes on a pop up stall so a real casual vibe.
