Roston has spent more than one and a half-decade covering climate change in all its incarnations from science, to technology, finance, business, and government. Since 2011, Roston has served as Sustainability Editor for Bloomberg News, at first developing and overseeing a Bloomberg.com site focused on the topic.
Roston is also an author and has been to writing stories, graphics, and video since 2015, he has written several that have been recognized around the world and won awards. His book, ‘The Carbon Age’, How Life’s Core Element Has Become Civilization’s Greatest Threat, was published in 2008 by the Bloomsbury United States of America and has been translated into several languages.
Roston has served as a senior staff analyst for the 2010-2011 National Oil Spill Commission and worked for the Nicholas Institute for Environmental Policy Solutions, a think tank at Duke University.
