Emily Riemer is an American journalist and anchor. Emily is a co-anchor at WCVB’s NewsCenter 5 at 4:00 PM with Ed Harding and NewsCenter 5 at 5:00 PM with Ben Simmoneau. She also works as NewsCenter 5’s Medical Reporter. She was previously a co-anchor of the WCVB’s EyeOpener newscasts (4:30 AM-7 AM) with Randy Price. Emily also co-anchored WCVB’s weekend morning newscasts from March 2011 to May 2013 and returned to WCVB Channel 5 as an anchor in June 2014.

Prior to joining the WCVB, Emily worked for duopolies WSYX-TV and WTTE-TV in Columbus, Ohio where she served as a political reporter. Emily has reported on different topics including daily government and public policy stories, legislative initiatives, election campaigns, and the impact of budget cutbacks. Emily secured an exclusive interview with Marc Dann, then Ohio’s embattled attorney general, before his resignation.
