Columbus-based retailer Homage released a new t-shirt in honor of Dr. Amy Acton. Homage wrote on Instagram: “We’re in challenging times, and here at HOMAGE, we’re thinking of the best ways we can all support each other through the COVID19 pandemic. Through the uncertainty, @ohiodepartmentofhealth Director Dr. Amy Acton has emerged as a voice of reason and a beacon of light for those of us looking for ways to act. She reminds us not only of the courage of the medical health professionals working tirelessly to treat the sick, but also of the small things we all can do to help each other – even if we can’t necessarily be together. Delivering supplies and meals. Practicing social distancing. And supporting local charities as they aid our community’s most vulnerable.

“With schools around the nation closing, many at-risk children face food insecurity and challenges related to safe housing. As a tribute to Dr. Amy and all of those working day and night to keep us healthy, we’re partnering with one of Central Ohio’s charities to raise funds for youth homelessness. Proceeds from the sale of this tee will support @huckhouse, whose programs assist youth at risk from violence, neglect, poverty and homelessness.

“Not all heroes wear capes – sometimes, they wear tees. Stay healthy, and let’s support each other – no matter what.”
