Deena Centofanti is an American journalist and an Emmy award-winning anchor/reporter who specializes in health reporting and anchors “The Nine”. She also worked for several other networks including ABC’s WSYX-TV. Besides working as a health reporter, she has also served as a morning news anchor. She spent her early childhood in a Norman Rockwell-like town; Hudson, Ohio. While she was in her 8th grade, her family moved to a suburb of Cincinnati.

Her career as a journalist started in 1990 at WSYX- TV in Columbus, Ohio as their production assistant. She also worked as a morning news anchor in 1993 in the same station. Later on, after her marriage, she started working with FOX 2 News and since then she has been working as a regular health reporter for the network. Besides her, some of the popular FOX 2 news reporters include Monica Gayle. She gradually advanced in her career as she rose to top positions in the newsroom.

In her more than 20 years at Fox 2, she said, ” I have met so many incredible people, they share personal stories of hardship, tragedy, bad fortune… to help the rest of us learn and grow. I’ve cried with women facing advanced breast cancer, I’ve stood with parents who, with pride and tears, watch their disabled children ride a custom bike for the first time, and I’ve felt the despair of a family suddenly facing a devastating loss that no one saw coming.” She went to school at Miami (of Ohio) University where she studied broadcast journalism.
