Danny Tetley is an English singer and actor originally from Bradford, Yorkshire. He lives in Benidorm in Spain where he works as a barman.
In his audition for the fifteenth UK series of The X Factor, he performed the Jennifer Hudson version of And I Am Telling You I’m Not Going”, receiving four yeses from the judges.
Danny first graced screens as a Pop Idol contestant back in 2001. He was turned down by Simon Cowell back then, causing his dreams to come to an end.
He also auditioned for Louis Walsh during the 2002 series Popstars: The Rivals.
Danny has previously appeared on ITV series Benidorm where Sherrie Hewson’s character Joyce Temple mocked him for having a cleft lip.
Ofcom received numerous complaints about the joke at the time.
An ITV spokesperson said at the time: “Danny is a very talented performer and hugely popular on the circuit. We were thrilled to have him on the show.”
