Danielle Heron Great British Menu
Whitefield-born chef Danielle Heron was one of four chefs competing for the North West region on Great British Menu 2023. She was excited to take on the Great British Menu and hoped her creative menu would take her all the way to the Banquet.
She competed against Laszlo Nagy, Former Chef Patron at Hypha, Caroline Martins, Sao Paulo Project, and Sam Grainger, Chef Patron at Belzan and Madre, in a bid to represent the North West in the regional finals, and ultimately cook a dish at the final banquet.
Heron hoped to make her family and friends proud with dishes inspired by British animations, Bob the Builder and The Wombles.
“We’re over the moon to announce that our very own Danielle will be taking part in the North West heats for @greatbritishmenu next week,” OSMA wrote at the time. “The whole team is so proud of Dani, and we can’t wait to see OSMA represented on screen.”
