Arvin Garcia is one of the contestants competing in The Great Australian Bake Off 2024 on Foxtel. Judged by global culinary icon Rachel Khoo and Australia’s King of Pastry, chef Darren Purchese, and hosted by comedians Natalie Tran and the late Cal Wilson, season seven of The Great Australian Bake Off sees 12 diverse amateur baking enthusiasts put through a series of challenges.
Each episode contains three themed baking challenges – Signature, Technical, and Showstopper. At the end of each episode, one contestant is named Star Baker and one is eliminated, until one is ultimately crowned Australia’s Best Amateur Baker.
The other bakers completing The Great Australian Bake Off 2024 line-up include Melisa Chilimanzi, Vicki Priest, Adrian Barila, Molly Cameron, Jason Verner, Laurina Bowlen, Dimi Jayawardene, Elliot Styche, Ryan Fiedler, Jaden Briggs and Jill Carnovale.

Arvin is of Filipino heritage. He is excited about joining The Great Australian Bake Off to represent his Filipino heritage through his baking.
“One of the things I’m most excited about in joining Bake Off is the chance to represent my Filipino heritage through my baking. 🇵🇭✨ From incorporating beloved Filipino flavours and stories to merging them with my 🇦🇺 Australian influences and contemporary techniques, the creative process of bringing these two worlds together in each bake is such a joy,” he wrote on Instagram.
He added: “Make sure to tune in, cheer us on, and see how I bring a bit of the Philippines to the Bake Off shed. Let’s celebrate this sweet adventure together!”
