Ansu Fati full name Anssumane Fati, is a Bissau-Guinean professional footballer who plays as a left winger for Spanish club FC Barcelona B.
Born in Bissau, Fati moved to Spain at the age of six and established himself in Herrera, Seville, Andalusia. After representing local sides CDF Herrera and Sevilla FC, he joined FC Barcelona’s La Masia in 2012, aged 10.
On 24 July 2019, Fati signed his first professional contract with the Catalans, agreeing to a deal until 2022 with a release clause of €100 million. On 25 August, before even appearing with the reserves, he made his first team – and La Liga – debut, coming on as a late substitute for goalscorer Carles Pérez in a 5–2 home win over Real Betis; aged 16 years and 298 days, he became the second-youngest player to debut for the club, only 18 days older than Vicenç Martinez back in 1941.
On 31 August 2019, he scored his first La Liga goal for FC Barcelona against CA Osasuna, becoming the youngest player to score in FC Barcelona’s history.
On 14 September 2019, Fati became the youngest player in the history of La Liga to score and assist in the same match aged 16. Fati scored in the 2nd minute and assisted Frenkie de Jong in the 7th against Valencia to take the record.
