Andrey Gorbunov is a professional dancer on Dancing with the Stars Australia. He began dancing at the age of 6 in Ivanovo, Russia and as a junior, he was ranked 2nd in Ballroom and 5th in Latin. He competed for Russia in the 2001 IDSF International Open and the 2002 IDSF Open with his dance partner Maria Lebedeva.
Andrey trained and lived in New York and London and then moved to Singapore. The dancer currently divides his time between Singapore and Australia. He has many titles under his belt including Asian Pacific Champion and many Singapore International Competitions. He now represents Australia with his dance partner Karla Gerbes in the Professional Latin.

He revealed the news on Instagram, writing: “I’m so excited to finally announce that I will be joining Dancing with the Stars Australia 2024.” He was paired with MasterChef Australia star Julie Goodwin for the twenty-first season of the Australian Dancing with the Stars on Seven. The 53-year-old cook originally rose to fame after becoming fan favourite and winning MasterChef Australia in 2009.
In a statement, Julie revealed that while she’s finding the Dancing With the Stars grind challenging, she’s also having a blast.
