Abel Nazario Quiñones is a Puerto Rican politician, former mayor of Yauco, Puerto Rico and currently serves as a senator at large of the 26th Senate of Puerto Rico. He is also the Vice president of the New Progressive Party (PNP) and also for the local Republican Party.

He previously served as staff director of the Senate of Puerto Rico Committee on Tourism before assumming office of the mayor of Yauco, Puerto Rico. He served ass the mayor of Yauco, Puerto Rico for for 16 years from January 2, 2001 to January 2, 2017. He was succeeded by Ángel Luis Torres Ortiz.

In the 206 General Election held on November 8, 2016, he was elected as senator at large of the 26th Senate of Puerto Rico.
