He told the BBC about his earliest cooking memory: “My earliest memories of cooking are with my mum. Most nights she would have me helping in the kitchen, whether it was peeling carrots for her, or mixing ingredients. I really enjoyed these times and they definitely sparked my love of food.”
Aaron’s style of cooking is a fusion. He said: “I like a lot of different flavours and spices. I like a bit of everything, particularly Asian cuisine but also Caribbean, Mediterranean and Indian.
My aunty Georgi, who passed away, also was a big inspiration. She ran various pop-up Caribbean restaurants in Brighton and when I was little and visited her, I would help out and work with her in the kitchen.”
