Willie Gomez The Voice
Gomez is a contestant in the 24th season of The Voice. He sang a rendition of “La Bachata” by Manuel Turizo for his Blind Audition song, performing entirely in Spanish and spending much of the time dancing across the stage while he sang.
Coach Gwen Stefani was the first to turn her chair, early in the performance. By the end of his performance, all four Chairs had turned.
“I thought I had you!” Stefani shouted. “You still have me,” Gomez replied, signaling a certain chemistry between singer and Coach that made Stefani think she was that much closer to landing him for her team. “Your voice is so beautiful and, like flawless,” Stefani continued. “You have so much stage presence, you’re gorgeous.”
Coach Niall Horan couldn’t help but chime in at that point, referencing Stefani’s husband and former Voice Coach, Blake Shelton: “Blake, she is flirting his pants off.”
After brushing off Horan’s jokes, Stefani made a sincere case.
“I really think that you’re super gifted, super talented. I would love to work with you,” she said.
John Legend was also very into the singer’s multi-faceted talents and made it clear that he saw stardom well beyond The Voice stage. “I can hear this guy making a record that would be huge,” Legend said.

“Gwen turned first, and everything she had to say, she almost convinced me, but my heart told me to go with John,” Gomez explained later.
