Passionate about LGBTIQ+ sport, Kade is the founder of Australian LGBT Ice Hockey.
Ryan and Kade married in September 2022. The wedding cake was a colourful, three-tier chocolate cake with vanilla Swiss buttercream and fresh raspberries. Ryan and his husband recently marked the second wedding anniversary. Ryan paid tribute to his partner on Instagram. He wrote: “Kade has been my rock for 7+ years and my best friend. When I met Kade he had just left a corporate job(and wage) to go work with non for profit charities. He wanted to feel like he was making a difference, and use his corporate skills to help others, and that really sums him up.
“Throughout our time together Kade has helped found Australia’s first queer ice hockey teams, played in multiple queer sporting leagues, advocated for LGBTQIA+ rights with a focus in sports, he is currently campaigning for the gay games in Melbourne, volunteers for racing pride and their work in motorsports, and continues to champion education and inclusion through his work with proud2play.”
He added: “If there’s one thing you can say about Kade it is that he is a nonstop worker and supporter of those around him, and I’m so glad he not only leads through example, but also pushes me to be the best, most complete version of myself. I love you Kade! Thanks for everything .”

Learning Coordinator Ryan Fiedler is one of the contestants taking part in The Great Australian Bake Off 2024 on Foxtel. He revealed the news on Instagram. He wrote: “AHHH cats out of the bag! I’m going to be in the next season of bake off!!! I’ve been waiting so long to share this with my friends, family and so many more!”
Judged by global culinary icon Rachel Khoo and Australia’s King of Pastry, chef Darren Purchese, and hosted by comedians Natalie Tran and the late Cal Wilson, season seven of The Great Australian Bake Off sees 12 diverse amateur baking enthusiasts put through a series of challenges.
Each episode contains three themed baking challenges – Signature, Technical, and Showstopper. At the end of each episode, one contestant is named Star Baker and one is eliminated, until one is ultimately crowned Australia’s Best Amateur Baker.
