Rita Millat is a Lebanese interior designer, organiser, stylist and visual merchandising consultant. She spent her childhood moving between Iraq, Cyprus and Lebanon before finally coming to the UK in 2006. She is a contestant on Interior Design Masters 2025.
Rita is of Lebanese heritage. She graduated from the Lebanese University of Art and Architecture in 2005 in Beirut, where she studied Interior Design. As an artist and ilustrator, she comes from a creative family – her father is an architect and her mother runs her own fashion store. She lives on a farm outside Lancaster surrounded by nature and sheep.

Lake District-based designer Rita Millat is a contestant on Series 6 of BBC One’s Interior Design Masters, hosted by Alan Carr and judged by Michelle Ogundehin. Speaking about her main motivation in applying to be part of Interior Design Masters, Rita to the BBC:
“My main motivation was my love for interior design and the power it has in transforming people’s lives. Also, to prove to myself and other woman that we can change our careers at any time even in our 40’s. I loved the show anyway as I was a big fan of it and my dream was that one day I would take part in it.”
On the celebrity/public figure she would choose to design a room for and why, Rita said: “Trinny Woodall because I love the fact that she showed women that they can start a business in their 50’s and be successful. I also LOVE her style. If I can pick two, the second will be Davina McCall. She’s inspiring and seems like so much fun.”
