Pippa Lovell MasterChef: The Professionals
Leicester-born chef Pippa Lovell is a contestant on MasterChef: The Professionals 2024 on BBC One and BBC iPlayer. She will be taking part in the third heat week of the competition alongside Cristina Ogiefa from London, Ian Brunsdon from West Sussex and Rachide Sambu Balde from London.
Pippa entered MasterChef: The Professionals to spread the green dream and inspire people to think beyond the food on the plate. She said: “Food was a nightmare for me growing up, as I faced sensory issues as an autistic child. I still can find things challenging and overstimulating in a kitchen environment, but food is now my biggest passion and I want to push myself. I think I bring something different to the table and I hope to inspire people to think beyond the food on the plate. I’d also like to show that it’s possible to be successful when you are a little different.”
Pippa wrote on Instagram: “I decided it would be silly for me not to take up a fabulous opportunity to spread the green dream, talk about my ethos and put myself in a severely uncomfortable position in order to grow as a chef and also on a personal level.”
