How would you describe your style of cooking?
“Cooking for me is all about creativity and experimentation, I love to create a melting pot of different flavours and cuisines, usually with an Asian feel somewhere in there. If you raise an eyebrow when I tell you my dish I am heading in the right direction.”
What is your earliest cooking memory?
“I have loved spicy food since a very young age! I remember going to the local Pakistani takeaway with my Mum when I was young and having a pot of the spiciest curry sauce and chapati to dunk it in – the birth of curry dip dip.”
Why did you enter MasterChef?
“I have loved MasterChef since I was a teenager and wanted to finally put my money where my mouth is after years of sitting on the sofa saying I could do that! More than anything I wanted to learn and completely immerse myself in food to see if I could turn my passion into something more.”
What is your food dream?
“I work in product development and love bringing new products and experiences to market, so if I could do this within the food industry that would be amazing. A development chef or working for a food brand to innovate. Also if the opportunity to write a cookbook popped up I wouldn’t be declining!”
