Nick Cordero was a Canadian actor. He was best known for appearing on Broadway in 2014 in the musical Bullets Over Broadway in the role of Cheech. For that role, he managed to be nominated for the Tony Award for Best Featured Actor in a Musical and the Drama Desk Award, for Outstanding Featured Actor in a Musical. He also won the Outer Critics Circle Award for Outstanding Featured Actor in a Musical and a Theater World Award for the role. He originated the title role in the Off-Broadway production of The Toxic Avenger.
Nick Cordero also was cast as an actor known as Dennis in Rock of Ages on Broadway in 2012 and on tour. He played the role of Earl in the Broadway Production of Waitress in March 2016. He then exited Waitress to join the Broadway premiere of the musical A Bronx Tale, as “Sonny” at the Longacre Theatre starting on November 3, 2016. The blood thinners he got to fix the clotting issues were affecting his blood pressure and causing internal bleeding in his intestines. Later on April 18, 2020, Kloots shared in an Instagram video that Cordero made it through the surgery.
