Michelle Tsiakkas Biography – Michelle Tsiakkas Wiki

Michelle Tsiakkas is a professional dancer from Cyprus. She started dancing at the age of 6 in her native country of Cyprus. She became an undefeated champion, winning national titles consecutively from 2001-2011 before moving to London to study.

Whilst in the UK she continued to compete, representing England at major international championships before joining the world touring dance show Burn The Floor. Tsiakkas joined Burn The Floor in January 2022. Speaking about what Burn The Floor means to her, the dancer said:

“Burn the floor for me represents the beautiful diversity of talented individuals, who powerfully unite as one on stage to deliver pure magic. Being in the company has given me the space to discover my truest self and has taught me the importance of hard work, dedication and artistry as a professional dancer in the industry. On 11 July 2022, Latin dance champion Michelle Tsiakkas was unveiled as one of four new professional dancers joining Strictly Come Dancing for its 20th series on BBC One and BBC iPlayer. The three other dancers joining Strictly for the 2022 series are European cup winner Vito Coppola, Chinese National Champion Carlos Gu and former Under 21 British National Champion Lauren Oakley.

The four new pros join returning dancers Dianne Buswell, Nadiya Bychkova, Graziano Di Prima, Amy Dowden, Karen Hauer, Katya Jones, Neil Jones, Nikita Kuzmin, Cameron Lombard, Gorka Marquez, Luba Mushtuk, Giovanni Pernice, Jowita Przystal, Johannes Radebe, Kai Widdrington and Nancy Xu.

The professional dancer said of joining Strictly: “Being a professional dancer on Strictly Come Dancing has been my dream ever since I was a little girl. I cannot believe my dream has come true! I’m so grateful to be joining this incredible family and I can’t wait to step on that magical dance floor and give it my all!”
