Melica Moshiri is a British-Iranian recruitment entrepreneur and a contestant on The Apprentice 2025. She is the founder of SkillTorch, a tech recruitment company specialising in providing executive search and embedded talent solutions across North America and Europe.

Melica’s recruitment journey began after graduating with a Law with Business (LLB Hons) degree from the University of Brighton in 2013 at age 21. According to her LinkedIn profile, she began working as a business development executive at Pareto Law.

She went on to work as an account manager at Experian Data Quality UK, where she managed strategic relationships, including with NHS Trusts. She was the youngest Field Account Manager at the time at the age of 22 and promoted data quality solutions across the UK.

In January 2015 Melica decided to return to recruitment and joined Expand Executive Search, an executive search firm specialising in the advertising technology markets across the US and Europe.

In December 2017 Melica relocated to Los Angeles and joined Energize Group as head of client development. She went on to work as an account executive at Braze, a marketing technology company based in Orange County, California, United States. She is now the founder of SkillTorch, specializing in providing executive search and embedded talent solutions to businesses in the AI and emerging technology sectors.

Melica Moshiri, from Sussex, is among the contestants on the 19th series of the BBC’s The Apprentice, fronted by business tycoon Lord Sugar alongside his trusted advisors Baroness Karren Brady and Tim Campbell MBE. The contestants are battling it out for the opportunity to win Lord Sugar’s £250,000 investment and mentorship.

“Out of approximately 80,000 applicants and after a series of intense audition rounds, I’ve been selected as a candidate on this year’s BBC The Apprentice Season 19,” Melica announced in an Instagram post. “I’ll be competing for a £250,000 investment and mentorship from Lord Sugar to take my tech recruitment company, SkillTorch, to the next level.”

When asked why she deserves Lord Sugar’s investment, Melica told the BBC: “My business is profitable, and costs are minimal. With Lord Sugar’s mentorship, we can only go up and multiply the investment in as little as a year. Lord Sugar will be making a big mistake if he doesn’t invest in me.”

The Apprentice isn’t her first TV appearance, Melica was on Let’s Make a Deal in the US.
