Mexican-Canadian influencer Mary Magdalene died on December 9, 2025 at the age of 33 after falling from the ninth floor of a high-rise apartment in Patong, a beach town in Phuket Island, Thailand. According to Captain Channarong Prakongkuea of the Patong Police Station, Gongora’s body was discovered by the apartment’s staff in the building’s parking area.
According to local outlet The Phucket News, police are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding her death. At the scene, investigators discovered a pair of flip-flops believed to belong to Gongora left behind on the ninth floor of the building. Condo staff told police that Gongora was set to check out of the apartment building on Dec. 10, the day after her death.
On Dec. 8, the day before her fatal fall, Gongora shared a haunting final post to her social media accounts: two stills from the final scene of The Truman Show, which included the character’s lines, “And in case I don’t see ya, good afternoon, good evening and good night.” In the carousel, Gongora also included what appeared to be a blurry childhood photo of herself.
