Marcus Helligkilde is a Danish professional golfer who plays on the European Tour. As an amateur, he won the 2015 Turkish Amateur Open Championship and represented Denmark at the 2016 Eisenhower Trophy and 2017 European Amateur Team Championship.
Helligkilde turned professional in 2017. A three-time winner on the Nordic Golf League, he returned to the Challenge Tour for 2021 after finishing second on the NGL Rankings.
Helligkilde finished 2021 as Challenge Tour Number One, topping the Road to Mallorca Rankings after a late charge in the final four months of the season yielded three victories.
His first win came at the Vierumäki Finish Challenge in August 2021, followed by victory at the Swiss Challenge in October. He went on to win the season-ending Rolex Challenge Tour Grand Final supported by The R&A, which saw him become the third player from Denmark to top the season-long standings.

He’s so positive, so hard-working, and such a good person towards everyone, that he really taught me how to be – as a person and on the course. He’s the one who got me into golf when I was six. I’d play in the back yard of my grandparent’s farm. Then, once I could play, he and I would play 18 holes and only stop for an ice cream or a hot dog and play 18 more. Those were some of the best times of my life, just playing golf for fun and nothing else.”
