Lloyd Harris is a South African professional tennis player. He made a career-high Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP) singles ranking of No. 72 achieved on January 20, 2020. Harris has recorded several wins in his career including the three ATP Challenger singles titles and two Challenger doubles titles. Harris has also won 13 ITF singles titles and 4 ITF doubles titles. He is currently South Africa’s top-ranked tennis player.
Harris qualified for his first Grand Slam main draw at a senior men’s singles level, in August 2018. He qualified for the US Open through the qualifying rounds. As a junior player, Harris was coached by Norman McCarthy. He won the South African national junior championship and African championship. He also represented South Africa at the Youth Olympic Games, in August 2014. At he was 16 years, Harris joined the Anthony Harris Tennis Academy. He received a scholarship from the tennis foundation established by Anthula Markowitz.
