Linnea Ström is a Swedish professional golfer. She currently competes on the U.S based LPGA Tour and previously played on the Symetra Tour. Strom began playing golf at the age of 5 years old. At the age of 13, she became a member of the Swedish National Golf Team. In 2012 and 2013, Strom was in the Swedish team winning the European Girls’ Team Championship. Strom was also in the 2013 Junior Solheim Cup Team and the 2012 and 2014 European Junior Ryder Cup Team.
As an amateur, she won the 2012 Annika Invitational Europe, the 2013 Polo Golf Junior Classic, the 2014 Spanish International Ladies Amateur Championship, and the Youth Olympic Games with her fellow Swedish Marcus Kinhult. Strom attended Arizona State University where she majored in Interdisciplinary Studies. While there she played collegiate golf with the Sun Devils. She led the Sun Devils to the program’s eighth NCAA Division I National Championship in 2017 and was the 2016 Pac-12 Individual champion as well as a two-time first-team All-American. She left Arizona State University to begin her professional career in 2017.
Strom turned professional in 2018 and competed on the Symetra Tour. On September 2, 2018, Strom earned her first professional tournament victory at Sioux Falls GreatLIFE Challenge. She defeated Charlotte Thomas by 1 stroke to earn her win. She as well won the Symetra Tour Rookie of the Year award. Strom finished 5th on the Symetra Tour Official Money List to earn her membership for the 2019 LPGA Tour season.
In 2019, she played 22 events on the LPGA Tour and made 11 cuts. She also earned 1 top-10 result, which was a tie for 5th at the Marathon Classic.
