Laurie Weiskopf Biography

Laurie Weiskopf is the wife of Tom Weiskopf, the 1973 Open Championship winner and 16-time PGA Tour champion. The Massillon, Ohio, native won 16 US PGA Tour events between 1968 and 1982 and was a four-time Masters runner-up. He also finished second at the US Open in 1976.

Tom Weiskopf died on August 20, 2022, at the age of 79 at his Montana home after a battle with pancreatic cancer. He was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in December 2020.

Tom Weiskopf’s wife, Laurie Weiskopf, said her husband was working last week at The Club at Spanish Peaks and attended a legacy luncheon at the signature club where he was designing “The Legacy: Tom’s Ten,” a collection of his 10 favorite par 3s.

“He worked to the end. It was amazing,” his wife said. “He had a big life.”
