Lauren Maxwell’s mother, Turquoise Miami, confirmed the sad news in an Instagram post on Sunday, Aug. 1, 2021. Miami wrote: “This is my amazing, beautiful, funny, vibrant, loving, talented, smart, and hardheaded princess mermaid Aquarius. If you see this post scrolling by with her comment or just say to yourself ‘i love you LAUREN’ because they say that souls can feel your love #rip.”
The girl’s mother shared a video of her daughter smiling and bouncing in a swimming pool. The performer has since deleted other Instagram posts and said she will not be responding to any messages at this time.
Rapper Fetty Wap has not publicly commented on the death of his daughter, but he appeared to make a tribute to her in late June, posting an Instagram story following a festival performance saying: “LoLo daddy did that s*** for you last night baby girl”. His daughter’s death comes less than a year after the death of the rapper’s brother, Twyshon Depew, who was shot in New Jersey in October 2020.
