Larry Householder (born Larry Lee Householder) is an American politician. He is the state representative for Ohio’s 72nd District and the Speaker of the Ohio House of Representatives. He previously served as speaker in the early 2000s.
He was first elected to the Ohio House of Representatives in 1996 and was elected to the House leadership team two years later. In 2001, he was unanimously elected Speaker of the Ohio House.
He is currently serving his second term representing House District 72, which covers Perry County, Coshocton County, and southern/eastern Licking County.
He graduated from New Lexington High School and Ohio University, and opened an insurance agency in New Lexington, which he managed for more than 20 years.

On the morning of Tuesday, July 21, 2020, Federal officials arrested Ohio House Speaker Larry Lee Householder and four others in connection with a $60 million bribery case.
According to federal prosecutors, all the charges are tied to a criminal enterprise dedicated to securing a bailout for two nuclear power plants in northern Ohio owned by FirstEnergy Solutions of Akron.
If convicted of conspiracy to commit racketeering, Householder and the other four could face up to 20 years in prison and a maximum $250,000 fine.
