Kylie Capps is a meteorologist for FOX 4 News in Dallas, Texas. She has been a meteorologist at KDFW-TV FOX 4 Dallas-Fort Worth since October 2018 appearing on Good Day Saturday and Good Day Sunday as the weekend morning meteorologist. She previously worked as a weekend morning Meteorologist for KXXV-TV in Waco, Texas from May 2017 to October 2018.
Kylie always wanted to be a meteorologist from a young age. “When I was 8 years old, I told my parents that I wanted to be a meteorologist. Not only that, but I also told them that I was going to be a meteorologist in Dallas.”
“Growing up in Flower Mound, I established a fascination with the broadcast meteorologists that we watched during severe weather outbreaks. I would be glued to the T.V, with a weather radio in hand, just in case we lost power. I made sure that my parents and siblings knew our severe weather safety plan, even if the forecast called for a slight chance of rain.”
Kylie attended the University of Oklahoma and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Meteorology and minors in both Broadcast Meteorology and Mathematics.

Her first job was as a weekend morning Meteorologist for KXXV-TV in Waco, Texas, where she worked from May 2017 to October 2018.
“My first job in May of 2017 took me to Waco, Texas where I worked as the weekend morning meteorologist. Less than two months after starting my job, Hurricane Harvey hit the Texas coast. When the outer bands swept across central Texas, I was thrown into the fire…covering countless tornado warnings and overnight flooding threats for our southeastern counties. I was also able to experience “Texas” ice storms while in Waco, and let’s not forget about severe weather season! Waco was an incredible place to start my career.”
In October 2018, Kylie joined KDFW-TV FOX 4 Dallas-Fort Worth.
