He graduated from Charlestown High School and went on to Monroe Community College. He then transfered from Monroe Community College to Fitchburg State University.

He attends Fitchburg State University where he is majoring in Criminal Justice. At the University, he is a member of the basketball team.

Kewan Platt Ban

He was suspended from the school’s basketball team and barred from campus after elbowing an opponent, Nate Tenaglia, on November 13, 2018 during a Division III college basketball game between Fitchburg State and Nichols College in Massachusetts.

In a statement, Fitchburg State said, “The Fitchburg State community is appalled by the conduct displayed during Tuesday night’s home basketball game. The player involved has been indefinitely suspended from the team and barred from campus, effective immediately.

“His behavior is antithetical to our community values and good sportsmanship. Fitchburg State does not tolerate behavior that violates those standards. The case is being reviewed at the student conduct level for consideration of further sanctions.”

In a statement, Nichols College Athletics Director Chris Colvin said; “We’re very happy that the Nichols College student-athlete involved in the incident, Nate Tenaglia, was unharmed and able to finish the contest. We are proud of the way our student-athletes handled the incident and that they did not allow it to escalate. This matter is in the hands of the authorities and the Fitchburg State administration. We trust that they will handle it appropriately.”

The Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference in a statement said the organization is considering further sanctions against Fitchburg State University. The conference also said Kewan Platt’s previous player of the week award had been vacated.
