Katherine Zhu is a Chinese-Canadian golfer. She is popularly known as the girlfriend of Collin Morikawa an American professional golfer who is the 2020 PGA Champion. She went to Zhuji Hailiang Private High School, in loin China. After completing high school in 2014, she moved to California where she joined Pepperdine University. She studied international management and also played golf.

Over four seasons, she appeared in 39 events and 107 rounds with a scoring average of 76.54. She earned multiple WGCA All-American Scholar, Arthur Ashe Jr. Sports Scholar and WCC All-Academic honors. She graduated from Pepperdine University in 2018. Prior to her love for golf, she was also a good tennis player as a youngster and won her first amateur tournament at the age of 13. She also participated in the 2014 world ladies championship.

She chose to attend Pepperdine “because of three reasons. First, I really like Coach Gibbs. I believe all good players have good coaches and I believe Coach Gibbs can help me become a good player. Second, Malibu has great weather conditions, which create a better environment for me to practice. Third, Pepperdine is a small school that is strong in both academics and athletics.”
