Kate Kalvach is an American songwriter and pop artist. Originally from Pittsburgh, PA, Kate is a contestant on Season 22 of NBC’s singing competition series “The Voice.”

Kate grew up a pastor’s kid and started singing in her parents’ church. In 2017, Kate released her debut single, “Unshaken”. In 2023, Kate plans to release a series of singles leading up to her first full-length Pop album.

She is also a creative director at Hope Connection Church in Oklahoma City, OK.

Reflecting on their first year of marriage, Kate took to Instagram on December 14, 2019, writing: “Matt graduated college in December, I graduated in May, and we had no money/no jobs/no home/no green cards/no idea what we were doing (lol). Matt has shown me how incredibly hard working & responsible he is. And to that end, revealed how irresponsible I can be HAHA. He worked his way into an amazing job. He spent so many hours working toward his green card. We went to the terrifying interview where they question if your marriage is real/fake and they literally said the person before us was sent straight to prison LOL.

Kate Kalvach The Voice

Singer Kate Kalvach is a contestant on Season 22 of The Voice. The Oklahoma City artist performed Kacey Musgraves’ “Rainbow” during The Voice blind auditions.

Coaches Blake Shelton, Gwen Stefani, and Camila Cabello all turned their chairs around for Kalvach.

“Kate, I was bringing a goat out here and the damn thing won’t go past the hallway. Kate, you are my Oklahoma City girl. I live in Tishomingo, Oklahoma. There is an NBC affiliate in Oklahoma City, KFOR, Channel 4. Imagine how excited they’ll be in our home state of Oklahoma, on Channel 4 right now if you choose me as your coach and everybody gets behind you. You cannot separate us fellow Okies!,” Shelton said. “Come on, please! It’s so embarrassing if my hometown girl doesn’t pick me.”

Kalvach ended up picking fellow Oklahoman Blake Shelton.

“Yes! I’m the GOAT,” Shelton yelled as he went up on stage to hug Kalvach.
