Julio Macias is a Mexican American actor, producer, and writer. He is best known for his roles in “Jane the Virgin”, “Game shakers”, and Netflix’s original series “On My Block.”
Prior to appearing in On My Block, he landed a role in the TV miniseries La Vida es Como el Cine, Game Shakers, Jane the Virgin, and a number of film shorts. He also appeared in Obsidian, and a role in a popular series of S.W.A.T. He is set to appear in the thriller The Last Boat to Alcatraz.
In 2013, Julio and his business partner Alfredo Ibarra, both fully dedicated to the art of film and creative media content, opened BlankFilms. They’ve produced several music videos for artists with labels like Sony Music Latin and Universal Music, along with short films, sketches, and a full-length feature, according to PV Public Relations.
Julio and Alfredo are working on an original feature, “Pega Como Niña” (Punch Like A Girl), a true story of a mother who’s vow to never be defenseless again, after being assaulted in the metro with her two daughters, takes her all the way to the Olympics.
