Jenna has known she has wanted to be a singer since she was a little girl. Inspired by her dad, who plays many instruments and has been in bands throughout her life, Jenna took up piano and ukulele and is now learning guitar.

Legend compared Marquis to two other major pop stars, though.

“The beginning of that song, you gave us some of the Billie Elish with some of the slow vibrato, but when you started to get into sort of that raspy end of your slow vibrato, you started to remind me of Rihanna,” Legend said. “So much of pop music is open to you.”

Ultimately, though, Marquis went with Stefani, who said it was her dream to work with “a young girl who already has such an identity.”

“I thought I’d gotten rid of Blake, but there’s definitely a big piece of him behind, still,” Horan said, following his loss. “He’s left Gwen Stefani behind, and I have to fight her, too.”
