Jeff Ehling is an American journalist. He serves as the Consumer Reporter at KTRK-TV, in Houston, Texas, United States. During his time at KTRK-TV, Jeff has covered different stories such as hurricanes, Operation Iraqi Freedom from Kuwait and Iraq, and Texas troops guarding the prisoners at Guantanamo, Cuba.
Jeff started his reporting career in 1986, near his hometown of Statenville, Georgia. He worked for an ABC Affiliate WVGA in Valdosta, Georgia where he worked for three years. He later moved to NBC affiliate WMGT in Macon, Georgia. In 1990, Jeff got a job working for the CBS affiliate, WCTV, in Tallahassee, Florida. While at WCTV, in Tallahassee, Florida, Jeff was the Bureau Chief in Valdosta which gave him the chance to again report on the news. He was later promoted to Weekend Anchor.
In 1996, he moved to West Palm Beach, Florida, where he served as a general assignment reporter. In December of 1999, Jeff’s wife got a job in Houston so they moved to Texas. Just a month later, Jeff was lucky enough to secure himself the position as the morning reporter at KTRK Houston Texas.
