Jane Galloway Heitz was an American film and television actress. She was known as the character Lillian Adler in the Fox musical dramedy Glee. She only appeared in person twice on the show, once in the pilot and on another occasion in 2015, as her character’s image appeared in a trophy case commemorating her life. Her character was a former head of glee club at McKinley High. Her other television credits were appearances on The Big Bang Theory, Shameless, Grey’s Anatomy, ER, Monk, Prison Break, CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, Without a Trace and Early Edition.

In film, Galloway Heitz starred with Richard Farnsworth and Sissy Spacek in David Lynch’s 1999 The Straight Story and played a nurse opposite Lindsey Lohan in the 2007 thriller I Know Who Killed Me. Her other credits included the film Just Visiting with Jean Reno and Christina Applegate, a remake of the French fantasy comedy Les Visiteurs.

Jane Galloway attended the University of Minnesota for a couple of years before making her way to Chicago in her early 20s. While acting, she opened her own casting business and helped nurture the early careers of Stephen Colbert, Steve Carell, Richard Kind and Eric Stonestreet, who always credited her for the success he would achieve on Modern Family. She sold her agency in 1997 to pursue her passion for acting full-time and earned high marks in her feature debut as a neighbor of Sissy Spacek and Richard Farnsworth’s characters in The Straight Story (1999), directed by David Lynch, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
