Jamie Keeble Biography – Jamie Keeble Wiki
Jamie Keeble is a British chef and a contestant on Great British Menu 2026. He is currently Head Chef at Mýse, a modern British restaurant in Hovingham, North Yorkshire, which earned its first Michelin star just seven months after opening in 2024. He previously worked at Ynyshir, Lords of the Manor, and The Wild Rabbit.
Mýse has quickly established itself as one of the most exciting new openings in the UK, gaining national attention for its refined, produce-led tasting menus. Within its first year, Mýse was ranked 17th in the UK in the National Restaurant Awards, reflecting both the strength of the kitchen team and Jamie’s leadership.
Jamie was born in Kent but grew up in Sheffield and counts himself a Yorkshireman. Jamie started at Lords of the Manor in the Cotswolds at the age of 18 and spent about four years there, mostly in pastry. He then moved to The Wild Rabbit with Tim Allen, a fast-paced Michelin-starred pub doing around 60 covers, before spending some time in Cambridge. After that he went to Ynyshir in Wales with Gareth Ward, which was completely different with its 33-course tasting menu. Before opening Mýse, he spent seven months travelling around Asia.
Jamie’s experience working at 2 star Ynyshir, Lords of the Manor, The Wild Rabbit has not only honed his skills, but also shown him the importance of local producers, foragers, and farmers, which are at the heart of Mýse’s identity. The restaurant serves a single, seasonally evolving tasting menu that celebrates the landscapes and ingredients of the region through precise and elegant cooking.
Jamie’s cooking is rooted in modern British cuisine, affectionately calling it ‘refined grandma’ cooking. He takes dishes that are nostalgic and gives them his twist and excellent produce. In February 2026, Jamie was named Rising Star in the chef category at the second National Restaurant Awards Rising Star event.
