Hermela Aregawi is an Ethiopian-American journalist and reporter. She is a News Anchor, for CBSN Los Angeles. Aregawi joined CBS2/KCAL as a general assignment reporter in November 2018. She was born in Ethiopia East Africa. She later moved to the United States when she was just seven years old. Aregawi has lived in a few different states, She lived in Mississippi, Tennessee, Massachusetts, California, New York, and Los Angeles.
Prior to joining CBS2/KCAL, she reported for more than two years in the Bay Area, reporting major stories including the 2017 North Bay fires that killed dozens and burned more than 200,000 acres.
