Gregory Connor is the Assistant District Attorney in the Norfolk District Attorney’s Office. Connor has worked at the office since 2002, starting as a prosecutor in district court and working his way up to heading prosecutions in motor vehicle homicide cases to white collar crime chief to becoming the District Attorney’s chief trial counsel.

As chief trial counsel in the Norfolk County District Attorney’s office, Connor takes on some of the county’s toughest cases. Moving into superior court cases, Connor helps try defendants accused of more serious crimes, who face longer sentences.

“I’m kind of an advisor to the lawyers in the office on how to charge a case, formulate a disposition on a case, or come up with a trial strategy for the case. In addition, it requires of me to try some of the more complicated cases in the office,” Connor told The Patriot Ledger. “Sometimes, I try and develop blueprints on how to do something so that if a similar case comes up (we have an outline).”

Connor graduated from Xaverian Brothers High School in Westwood. According to his LinkedIn profile, he received his Bachelors of Arts and Sciences in Political Science and English from Boston College in 1997 and earned his J.D. from Boston College Law School in 2000. He was inspired to become a prosecutor both because of his dad, a lawyer, retired judge and one-time prosecutor himself, and a commitment to public service.

Outside of the courtroom, Connor volunteers at the Brookview House, a nonprofit homeless shelter in Boston. He previously volunteered at the Greater Quincy Childcare Center, serving as President of Board of Directors from 2008 to 2015, and a Board Member from 2007 to 2016.
