Gabby Samone is a 22-year-old singer from Baltimore and a contestant on American Idol 2025. She is currently a child care specialist in Baltimore, MD. According to Billboard, Gabby first sang in church at the age of 7, performing a solo of the hymn “I Need Thee.”

Gabby performed her rendition of Nina Simone’s “Four Women,” earning the first standing ovation of the night.
Gabby was tapped by Disney to put her own unique spin on “Go the Distance” from the 1997 Disney classic film, “Hercules.” The song release was part of Disney’s Recital of Remixes’, a music EP series that sees musical talent from different backgrounds and genres reimagine some of Disney’s most beloved classic songs through their unique and diverse musical talents. She also performed the reimagined song LIVE at the D23 Expo – Disney’s bi-annual celebration of “inside-the-magic” experiences.
On December 8, 2023, Gabby appeared at the Apollo Theater in Harlem, New York as part of the historic venue’s Apollo Music Cafe series. She serenaded the audience with an evening of gospel, soul, pop and R&B.
