Evrod Cassimy is an American pop singer-songwriter and the morning anchor for Local 4 News Today. He joined WDIV in August of 2013. He is an award-winning journalist and a six-time Emmy Award nominee. In 2010 he won the Virginia Associated Press Award for Best Breaking News Coverage.
He was born in Michigan but grew up in the Chicagoland area. He graduated from Columbia College Chicago with a degree in Television Broadcast Journalism. He started his news career in Grand Junction, Colorado, and has covered news in Madison, Wisconsin, Orlando, Florida, Richmond, Vancouver, and Denver, Colorado before joining the Local 4 News team.
When he is not on television or writing stories for Local 4, he enjoys writing music. He is an accomplished recording artist.
