Elizabeth Evans is an American singer-songwriter originally from Arlington, Texas. She is a contestant in the 24th season of NBC’s The Voice.
Originally from Arlington, Texas, she moved to Nashville to attend Belmont University’s Curb College of Entertainment and Music Business.
Her catchy debut single, “This One’s Gonna Hurt,” dropped in July 2022. Says Elizabeth: “I felt like there were plenty of breakup songs out in the world but not enough songs about the lead-up to the breakup. All of the sinking feelings and second-guessing and knowing their feelings have changed while yours stayed the same — that kind of ugly, painful stuff that happens before the breakup is what I needed to hear in a song. I hope this song brings some comfort to anyone needing a good ‘scream-in-the-car’ moment. It’s alright to cry to it too if you want. In fact, it’s encouraged.”

Elizabeth, who described herself as a “shy person,” was relieved to begin her performance of ‘All I Wanted’ without the coaches looking at her. However, that didn’t last long once John and Reba McEntire sat down.
Reba expressed astonishment at hearing such a powerful voice emerge from someone so small, and vowed to assist her in learning how to better engage with her audience when she performs.
John described Elizabeth’s voice as “cool,” and said it was the big note that drew him in, but he’ll help her organize her vocals to make them work better. Elizabeth chose Team Legend out of the two options.

“I heard the beginning and I was like ‘Oh, cool voice,’” Legend added. “Then when you went to that big scoop and went into that big note, I was like ‘Okay I want Elizabeth on my team.’
“Sometimes people get flustered, but with good coaching, I can make sure that doesn’t happen again,” Legend continued. “I would love to be your coach because I really think I can help you think about the right songs. We could have so much fun together.”
