Dominique Newland is an American anchor and producer for KYMA News 11 who joined KYMA in June 2019 as a Sunrise anchor. She went to study and received her degree in Broadcast Journalism from Indiana University in May 2019. During her time at Indiana University, she was a reporter and anchor for Indiana University Student Television (IUSTV), served as the special affairs chair for the local chapter of The National Association of Black Journalists (NABJ), and spent a semester of her junior year studying in Los Angeles. Her previous internships include WISH-TV and WTHR in Indianapolis, The Late Late Show with James Corden, Magical Elves, and You’re So Beautiful Now.

Before joining KYMA News 11 she had been at WISH-TV as an intern, intern at YSB Now, Magical Elves Inc. intern from January 2018 to May 2018. She has also worked at WTHR and also worked with James Corden. In her previous duties, she has helped in broadcasts, done interviews and assisted in camerawork, and has also recorded stand-up footages for news stories. She is a member of The Alpha – Phi Sorority Indiana University Student Television.

When she isn’t anchoring, she loves traveling the world, staying up to date with her favorite YouTubers, trying out new restaurants, and spending time with her friends and family.
