Diana Parker is a potter, ceramic artist and contestant on The Great Pottery Throw Down 2025. Born and raised in Derbyshire, Diana first got her hands on clay as a teenager and loved it so much she changed her study plans and opted for a pottery course instead.
After 27 years as an art, design and textiles teacher, Diana is using her retirement to indulge her hobbies and if she’s not throwing on the wheel or firing up the kiln, she’s knitting, learning the piano or singing with her local choir.
Diana designs and makes hand thrown porcelain and stoneware ceramics as well as silver and porcelain jewellery in her studio in Dorset.

62-year-old Diana Parker will compete in The Great Pottery Throw Down series 8. The show follows twelve home potters as they compete in the battle of the clay to become champion of the pottery. The hit Channel 4 show is judged by Keith Brymer Jones and Richard Miller.
Diana revealed the news in a Facebook post, writing: “Having kept one of the biggest secrets of my life for the last few months am happy to reveal I’m in series 8 of the Great Pottery Throw Down starting Sunday 5th January 7.45pm Chanel 4.” She added: “Special thanks to my two bestie’s M & H for helping to keep the secret and massively supporting me.”
The Great Pottery Throw Down 2025 contestants are Victor Ng, Steve Brown, Stephen Parkes, Olivia Rowan, Natalie Dawn Sims Rees, James Stanley Watson, Imy Kiara Harris, Hayley Rowlands, Francesca Dourado, Chris Parkes, Diana and Jolly-Vanderheyden Jonathan.
