Daniela Darquea is an Ecuadorian professional golfer who plays on the LPGA Tour. Her lone professional win is the 2017 IOA Championship presented by Morongo Casino Resort & Spa on the Symetra Tour (now Epson Tour). On the LPGA Tour, she had a runner-up finish at the AmazingCre Portland Classic on September 18, 2022.

A native of Quito, Ecuador, Darquea was a member of the Miami golf team from 2013 to 2016. She captured three ACC All-Conference honors and totaled 17 top-10 finishes. Darquea became Miami’s first All-American since Julie Brand in 1994 as a freshman (2013), after totaling five top-10 finishes.

Off the course, Darquea was equally impressive as she was named to the ACC All-Academic team in each of her three years at Miami. Following the 2015-16 season, Darquea was selected as the ACC Scholar Athlete of the Year.

Daniela Darquea earned LPGA Tour partial status for the 2017 season at the third stage of qualifying school in Daytona Beach, Fla., in December 2016. Darquea tied for 29th and shot even par for the five-round event (360) posting rounds of 74-68-75-70-73. The top 20 earn full LPGA status for the 2017 season, while those finishing between 21st and 45th are granted partial status.

Darquea forewent the remainder of her senior season and turned pro.

“I would like to congratulate Daniela on her success at Q-school and thank her for everything she has done as a member of the Miami women’s golf team,” said head coach Patti Rizzo. “We wish her the very best as she moves on to the next chapter of her career.”

Darquea made one LPGA start in her rookie season. She made cut in 16-of-22 starts on Epson Tour with six top-10 finishes including a victory at the IOA Championship presented by Morongo Casino Resort & Spa.
