Cliff Sims Biography – Cliff Sims Wiki
Cliff Sims was a communications staffer at the White House. He earned a bachelor’s degree in political science from the University of Alabama.
Sims attended Delta State University where he played basketball. He went on to attend the University of Alabama where he chaired the College Republicans chapter. In 2010, he ran the campaign for Alabama State Rep. Barry Moore.
In college and after, Sims was involved in a variety of musical ventures, including fronting bands called “Moses” and “Colour Academy,” which saw playing time on MTV.
While in college Sims launched a conservative political blog called “Yellowhammer,” which later turned into Yellowhammer News, a statewide news site, and a host of other politically related ventures.
In 2016, Sims took a leave of absence from Yellowhammer to serve as an adviser to Donald Trump’s presidential campaign. He got the campaign position through connections with Jeff Sessions when he was still a U.S. senator and he focused much of his attention on the campaign’s social media strategy.
After Trump’s election, Sims was named assistant communications director for White House message strategy and special assistant to the president.

Michael Glassner, the chief operating officer of the president’s reelection campaign said it was preparing a lawsuit against Sims. He wrote on Twitter: “The Trump campaign is preparing to file suit against Cliff Sims for violating our NDA.”
